Sushi Night with Chef Tad Winegar

Born in Leesburg VA, Chef Tad Winegar grew up on the Gulf Coast of Florida and enjoyed Scuba diving and fishing at a young age. During his teenage years, Tad played music in various bands and started working in kitchens to pay the bills. At age 19, Tad got his first apprenticeship with a Sushi chef and culinary pursuits have been his passion ever since. At 23, he relocated to San Francisco and worked at several top 100 restaurants, furthering skills and developing his creative voice as a chef. In 2015, Tad took an Executive Sous Chef position to open West End Wine Bar & Pub in Purcellville. There he met his future wife, many great friends, and started to build his culinary footprint in Loudoun County. After following his then girlfriend to Lynchburg so she could finish her Masters Degree, Tad is back in Loudoun as  a freelance chef and has aspirations of opening a Japanese inspired restaurant in Leesburg.
